Founded in Boston in 2009, The Awesome Foundation is a global network of self-organizing chapters, each pooled from roughly ten volunteer micro-trustees who contribute their own funds. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $7.6 million to more than 7,650 projects worldwide, making it one of the most accessible grassroots funding opportunities available for creative and civic innovation.
Conservation and Climate (Awesome Foundation Chapter Grant) is a grant from The Awesome Foundation that provides micro-grants of up to $1,000 for creative, innovative, and impactful projects related to wildlife conservation, habitat protection, climate change, ecotourism, or environmental communication. The chapter specifically seeks novel ideas that have not been tried before or approach existing problems in a unique way. Preference is given to projects at a tipping point where the grant will make the difference between a project happening or not, and ideas that will ignite broader inspiration.
