Note we will not consider requests to fund an individual's medical needs, rent, utilities, home repairs, car trouble, appliances, etc. Launched in April 2017, Awesome Disability is an independent chapter of the Awesome Foundation, a global community that provides micro-grants with no strings attached. The trustees of Awesome Disability are people with disabilities that want to support ideas and projects in our community.
Featured in Rooted in Rights and Diversability . 10-ish Trustees (on average) each contribute $100 per month. People with awesome ideas submit an application for the grant.
Please submit your application in English. The trustees review and discuss the applications, and pick the best one. The winner is given $1000, no strings attached.
The process is repeated every month, in order to spread the awesomeness. We accept submissions for the month's grant between the 1st through the 10th of the current month. We will not consider applications submitted outside of this window.

Micro-Grant for Awesome Projects is a grant from The Awesome Foundation that provides $1,000 micro-grants on a monthly basis to individuals and teams with creative, unconventional, or community-forward ideas. Founded in Boston in 2009, The Awesome Foundation is a global network of self-organizing chapters, each pooled from roughly ten volunteer micro-trustees who contribute their own funds. Grants are awarded no-strings-attached — the Foundation takes no ownership or stake in funded projects. The application process is intentionally simple and open to a wide range of ideas. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $7.6 million to more than 7,650 projects worldwide, making it one of the most accessible grassroots funding opportunities available for creative and civic innovation.
Conservation and Climate (Awesome Foundation Chapter Grant) is a grant from The Awesome Foundation that provides micro-grants of up to $1,000 for creative, innovative, and impactful projects related to wildlife conservation, habitat protection, climate change, ecotourism, or environmental communication. The chapter specifically seeks novel ideas that have not been tried before or approach existing problems in a unique way. Preference is given to projects at a tipping point where the grant will make the difference between a project happening or not, and ideas that will ignite broader inspiration. Applications must be submitted in English. Eligible applicants are individuals or small teams who can receive payment via PayPal, Wise, or Venmo.
