| NAACP The NAACP x BACARDI are working together to provide dedicated support under-represented minorities in the beverage alcohol service, sales and hospitality industries. Backing the B. A.
R. is an NAACP initiative that is awarding over $100,000 in acceleration grants, education, support and entrepreneurship solutions for minority-owned bars, restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, liquor stores and small businesses in the process of applying for a liquor license.

You will receive a confirmation email from Hello Alice to notify you that your application was successfully received. How can I check my application status?
We will notify you via email of any updates to your application status in July 2024. How are recipients selected? There are approximately ten (10) $10,000 grants available for this round of applications.
All eligible applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Demonstrated need for funds (30%) Clarity and feasibility of plan for proposed use of funds (40%) Demonstrated commitment to community (30%) Grant recipients will be selected after several rounds of reviews and scoring conducted by a panel judges consisting of Hello Alice, NAACP, Bacardi and/or their designees.

The application period starts April 15, 2024 at 9:00 am Eastern Time and ends May 24, 2024 at 6:00 pm Eastern Time. NAACP and Bacardi will be announcing the recipients of the grant in July 2024. How old do I need to be to apply?
To apply, you must be eighteen (18) years of age or older (19 in AL and NE). Are businesses without a liquor license and not seeking one eligible for the grant? No, to be eligible for the grant, your business must either already possess a liquor license or be actively pursuing one.
Are sole proprietors eligible for the grant? Yes! Even if your company is just you today, you are welcome to apply.
I own multiple companies. Can I apply for more than one grant? You are only eligible for one grant per individual and per company.
Multiple applications received for any individual or company after the first submission is void. I've made a mistake on my application. Can I resubmit?
Per the terms and conditions , an application "cannot be modified in any way" after it has been submitted. You have the option to email alice@helloalice. com with your corrections.
The judging panel will do their best to incorporate these changes, but please understand that no guarantees can be made due to the volume of applications. My situation has changed. Can I update my application?
Due to the volume of applications, we are not able to accommodate updates to your application, as stated in the terms and conditions . We understand the unique circumstances and will evaluate your application knowing that owners are constantly adapting their businesses. I'm having technical difficulties completing my application.
Can someone assist? Are nonprofits eligible for the grant? No, nonprofits are not eligible for this program.
Do you accept applications from businesses located outside the United States? At this time, grants are only open to U.S. residents. We encourage international founders to complete and update their Hello Alice profile to help us notify you when new grant opportunities become available.
