The Bank of Marin's Annual Grant Program focuses on enhancing community welfare through support for nonprofits that promote social and economic vitality, education, and wellness. It prioritizes funding for basic needs, educational programs, and arts access.

We strive to support nonprofits that foster community and economic vitality, equitable access to educational resources and an enriched quality of life.

We commit to working with local organization in a collaborative manner through focused leadership, volunteerism, giving and financial education. Since opening our doors in 1990, we—along with our employees—have donated millions of dollars, served on hundreds of nonprofit boards/committees and volunteered thousands of hours to local philanthropic endeavors.

Bank of Marin has consistently been ranked one of the “Top Corporate Philanthropists” by San Francisco Business Times since 2003, was inducted into NorthBay Biz’s “Best of” Hall of Fame in 2024, and ranked top 10 in Sacramento Business Journal’s Corporate Direct Giving List for philanthropic efforts in 2023.

Our annual grant program generally focuses on the following giving priorities across the following Northern California counties – Alameda, Amador, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Sonoma.
