Community Impact Grants – Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio General Requirements for Funding Strategic to Mission Grants BHFSA Donor-Advised Funds Small organizations do big things and are incredibly valuable in our community. Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio recognizes this and provides Community Impact Grants of up to $12,000 to support smaller initiatives and organizations that have a large impact on community health.
Step 1: G eneral Requirements and Grant Inquiry Form It is important that potential applicants fully read, understand, and meet the Foundation’s General Requirements for Funding before requesting funds. Additionally, first-time applicants are required to submit a Grant Inquiries Form.
Step 2: Specific Grant Requirements The organization must have had less than $250,000 in actual revenue during the most recently completed fiscal year*; The organization must have an annual operating budget of at least $15,000 (for the fiscal year that includes July 1, 2026); The application amount must not exceed 20 percent of the organization’s total actual revenue in the most recently completed fiscal year; The application amount must fall in the range of $3,000-$12,000; and Organizations that received a Community Impact Grant in the most recent grant year may apply, but preference will be given to organizations that have not recently received funding from the Foundation.
* Churches are exempt from this requirement If there is any uncertainty regarding requirements, please contact the Foundation before submitting the application. Step 3: Letter of Inquiry (LOI) Once the window for LOI submission opens (in accordance with the timeline below), a link will appear beneath the picture. Once an LOI is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent.

Please contact the Foundation for further details. Beyond the Light, 2022 Grantee Not accepting Letters of Inquiry until June 15, 2026. The Letter of Inquiry (LOI) introduces an organization and its request to the Foundation.
It is designed to help the Foundation determine whether the request is a good match for the Foundation’s present interests and funds. An LOI may only be submitted online during the specified date range. The application allows invited organizations to provide greater detail regarding their requests for funding.
It builds on the information provided in the LOI and requires more robust data. An application may only be submitted online during the specified date range. The site visit allows Foundation staff and trustees to better understand the request for funding, and usually takes the form of a brief in-person meeting at the location where the funding will be used.
Due to the high number of applicants and scheduling constraints, site visits are not possible for all organizations. Applicants selected for a site visit will be contacted in September. Site visits are subject to several variables and may be waived at the Foundation’s discretion.
Grantees will be notified following final approval by the trustees. Notification of whether or not a grant is awarded will be sent to the email address of the individual who submitted the application. Applicants should only inquire about the status of an application if notification has not been received by Nov.
