Behavioral Health Facilities Program – Washington State Department of Commerce Shared Standards Initiative 简体中文 ( Chinese (Simplified) ) 繁體中文 ( Chinese (Traditional) ) Tiếng Việt ( Vietnamese ) Behavioral Health Facilities Program Behavioral Health Facilities Program grants establish new behavioral health service capacity through acquisition, renovation or new construction of real property.
Our program may fund nonprofits, for-profit businesses, public entities, or Tribes that are community hospitals or community-based behavioral health providers. Funded projects must be able to meet all applicable licensing and certification requirements under specific RCWs and WACs pertaining to the behavioral health services proposed in the facilities to which the funding will be applied.
Jamestown S’Klallam Healing Clinic Sequim Our program opens competitive and non-competitive funding rounds for behavioral health facility capital projects as funding is made available in the state capital budget. The Legislature appropriated the following funding in the 2024 supplemental capital budget: Commerce will be accepting applications for capital projects to prevent the closure of existing behavioral health facilities.
This funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted with no funding cap up to $8,417,863. Funding is provided solely for grants to community providers to prevent the closure of existing behavioral health facilities. Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying project proposals that satisfy the goal of long-term preservation of behavioral health facilities.

Reports, guidelines and information Behavioral Health Facilities Program Guidelines Licensing and certification requirements The Washington State Department of Health licenses and regulates inpatient and outpatient behavioral health agencies that may be certified to provide mental health, substance use disorder, problem gambling and gambling disorder services (ineligible for funding), or any combination of these types of services.
