## Uniting for a Brighter Tomorrow Women and girls in metro Atlanta face rising mental health challenges driven by economic pressure, caregiving demands, trauma, and systemic inequities. In 2025, AWF commissioned a comprehensive, multi-county study, which found that mental health challenges among women and youth are widespread, intensifying, and deeply rooted in systemic conditions.
Following a year marked by funding disruptions, policy shifts, and leadership transitions, the Foundation shares lessons learned and its focus on strengthening education and mental health systems. 2025 tested the resilience of organizations working at the intersection of education, mental health, and equity.
In response, the Betty and Davis Fitzgerald Foundation listened closely, acted with intention, and clarified how we will continue to partner in a changing landscape—sharing lessons learned and sharpening our focus on strengthening education and mental health systems. This letter reflects on that journey and outlines our path forward.
