BIPOC Leadership Fund - Community Foundation Sonoma County In 2015, Community Foundation Sonoma County launched the Latino Leadership Fund, and in 2024 it evolved to become the BIPOC Leadership Fund. Community Foundation Sonoma County established the BIPOC Leadership initiative in recognition of the opportunity to support diverse leadership so that our future leaders better reflect our diverse communities.
This fund is especially important due to historical underinvestment in leaders of color, persistent resource gaps for BIPOC-led organizations, and the opportunities for BIPOC leaders to enhance organizational insight and innovation through culturally responsive solutions.
In line with our grantmaking philosophy, we strive to bolster projects and organizations dedicated to elevating and empowering BIPOC communities through direct leadership initiatives. Requesting organization is a Sonoma County 501(c)(3) nonprofit or an organization fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Requested funding is aimed at supporting leadership development for BIPOC community members and/or nonprofit leaders.
