Black Girls Dream Fund – Southern Black Girls Black Girls Dream Fund Candice Dixon 2025-10-31T11:55:01-05:00 Grants for Education, Health and Wellness, Economic Opportunity, Leadership and Empowerment, and Social Justice The Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium (Southern Black Girls) launched the Black Girls Dream Fund to disrupt current grant making efforts in the south and to channel greater resources toward organizations that are intentionally supporting and empowering Black girls.
The 2025 Black Girl Dream Fund offers general operating grants to support the capacity of organizations that care for Black girls.
The Black Girls Dream Fund offers support in different categories, including Education, Health and Wellness, Economic Opportunity, Leadership and Empowerment, and Social Justice in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia and Virginia.
Funding priority will go to organizations with leaders who grew up, currently reside, or have organizations in economically depressed areas. To qualify for this grant, applicants must: Be working to support Southern Black and marginalized girls, women, and femme-identifying youth Organizations must have operating budgets under $1M and can be new or established.
Operate in one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, or Texas Be a 501(c)(3) organization or have fiscal sponsorship by another non-profit organization The application closes October 30, 2025 at 8pm EST * To apply, visit https://portal. justfund.
