Blight Elimination Grant Program

Blight Elimination Grant Program is sponsored by Michigan State Land Bank Authority (SLBA). This competitive grant program addresses vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties across Michigan. Funds can be used for demolition, stabilization of vacant residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, and environmental remediation on land bank owned properties.

Rural Development Fund Board Go to Rural Development Fund Board The Rural Development Fund Board, housed in the Office of Rural Prosperity, has oversight of the Rural Development Fund. The Board is charged with advising the Office on how to distribute tax revenue collected from mines to improve and strengthen local communities. Director is a voting member and makes final decision on projects (Public Act 411 of 2012).

State Land Bank Authority 5. Blight Elimination Programs The State Land Bank has demolished more than 3,300 blighted structures since 2010. Our agency works with local officials and local land banks to help strengthen and transform communities - of all sizes -across the state.

**2021 Blight Elimination Grant** The Michigan Department of Treasury and the State Land Bank Authority (SLBA) are pleased to announce a joint blight elimination grant opportunity for fiscal year 2021. Up to $200,000 is available for Michigan Economic Development Corporation's Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) to address blight in their communities. A total of $800,000 is to be awarded.
