We think wellbeing is at the heart of what matters, and so our grants are aimed at measurably and cost-effectively creating wellbeing and reducing suffering at scale.

### **Measuring what matters** Bloom utilises a cutting edge evaluation metric to ensure our grants are measurably improving lives: The WELLBY, or Wellbeing Life Year, is a 1 point improvement in self-reported life satisfaction measured on a 0-10 scale for one individual for one year.

This metric enables us to evaluate and compare radically different kinds of interventions whilst maintaining the same focus on what we think matters most: how people feel about their lives. ## Mental Health Intervention ## Policy & Ecosystem Building Our grants support projects around the world. We have a particularly strong focus on supporting evidence-informed interventions to improve wellbeing in low and middle income countries.
