11, 2026, for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund. Young people ages 15 to 24, and eligible youth-serving organizations are invited to submit innovative project ideas that advance local climate action. Selected projects will receive funding through the City’s $50,000 Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF) award announced in June.
Following the six-week application period, eligible proposals will be evaluated for microgrant funding. The YCAF provides capital and technical assistance to support municipalities in mobilizing young-adult residents in designing and delivering solutions aligned with citywide environmental priorities.
The open call supports the opportunity for creating public spaces, strengthening infrastructure, mitigating disasters, and building resilience. Upon selecting qualified submissions, the Office of Sustainability will help support resident-applicants’ ideas from implementation to completion, providing guidance, direction, leadership, and mentorship.
