org/our-partners/veteran-serving-organizations/got-your-6-network/got-your-6-network-directory/) * Community Impact/Grants # The Bob Woodruff Foundation’s Spring Grants Total Over $6. 5 Million The Bob Woodruff Foundation is proud to announce $6,516,836 in grant funding to 38 programs, include 9 new grant recipients. This round of funding is focused on increasing stability, expanding access to care, and strengthening social connection.

The grants will improve the lives of over 20,000 service members, veterans, and their families. The grant portfolio addresses immediate needs while building the foundation for lasting wellbeing among service members, veterans, and their families nationwide. By investing in prevention, early intervention, and wraparound support, this portfolio helps ensure timely, accessible care for those who have served.

Many of the grants were designed to reach those with limited or no access to care, especially in rural and underserved communities. These grants reflect a focus on the entire family unit, recognizing that the impact of military service extends far beyond those who wore the uniform.

#### The nine new grantees by area of focus are: * **Clinical Mental Health** Trustees of Boston University (Strength at Home-Couples) University of Colorado Foundation * **Education and Basic Needs Assistance** Foundation for Women Warriors * **Housing and Supportive Services** New Mexico Veterans Integration Centers Veterans Navigation Network Legal Aid West Virginia, Inc ### Expanding Access to Mental Health Care A significant portion of the portfolio focuses on expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based clinical mental health care for service members, veterans, and their families.

Many of these grants support intensive outpatient programs for the treatment of traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other co-occurring conditions This portfolio includes a focus on the mental health and wellbeing of military-connected children through school- and community-based services, mentorship programming, and access to enriching extracurricular activities.

Together, these efforts strengthen individual mental health and family functioning. ### Promoting Economic Mobility and Stability This portfolio promotes economic mobility through job placement, targeted financial assistance, workforce development, and college readiness programming. The grants provide veterans and transitioning service members with tools and opportunities to secure stable, meaningful employment and financial wellbeing.

In addition, the grants target veterans’ housing stability through a continuum of services including outreach, emergency and transitional housing, recovery housing, and comprehensive case management. These grants are designed to support veterans experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. The focus is on early intervention, sustained stabilization, and long-term self-sufficiency.

Complementary grants for basic needs assistance and childcare relief reinforce these housing stability efforts. Recognizing the critical role of legal access in achieving stability, this portfolio includes substantial support for civil legal aid. These grants address barriers related to housing, benefits access, and economic security, particularly for veterans in rural and underserved communities.

By resolving legal challenges, these programs enable veterans to achieve improved housing stability and overall quality of life. Finally, this portfolio invests in programs that enhance social support and community connectedness. Peer support, leadership development, and targeted programming for women veterans and families of the fallen help reduce isolation and foster meaningful engagement and support networks.
