BORDERLESS COLLECTIVE & LIBERATION CO-OP FUND Borderless Collective, a co-op fund, provides liberatory approaches to non-extractive giving and mutual aid and emphasizes the importance of collective care, healing, and racial wellness within Black and Indigenous communities. We strengthen the narrative power of Black and Indigenous groups through advocacy.

We offer education, technical support, and resources that foster a cooperative economic system rooted in the values of Black and Indigenous communities. We focus on knowledge sharing, forming strategic partnerships, pooling resources, and establishing co-operative social enterprises to support sovereignty and liberation efforts through community wealth creation and preservation.

Borderless Collective and Liberation Co-op Fund is a community fund that provides up to $15,000 based on collective abundance, healing, and community wealth-building gifts to Black and Indigenous people in Omaha and the surrounding region to create tangible pathways to liberation, prosperity, healing, and repair.

The fund aims to enable Black & Indigenous individuals, groups, and communities to build long-lasting, intergenerational wealth. Reparative and Liberation Practices Racial Healing & Wellness Fostering Third Spaces: Black & Indigenous Fugitivity We emphasize funding small to mid-size nonprofit organizations. Your organization must be based or serve Nebraska and/or Iowa.

Nebraska/Iowa-based nonprofits serving primarily Nebraska, Iowa or the surrounding region. Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) entity to be eligible for a grant. Fiscally sponsored organizations are welcome to apply.

Eligibility for the Fund is restricted based on Black and Indigenous-led projects in service to Black & Indigenous communities and by geography. The Community Stewards Committee members will assess the nonprofit organization application based on the following selection criteria: Does the proposed work align with the Borderless mission? Is the idea bold, and does it lead to racial healing, repair, and wellness?

Are the individuals affiliated with the applicant visionary and capable? Does the applicant have adequate staff (or plans to grow), transparent governance, and solid financial practices? Do the applicant's leaders have a clear strategy?

Preparing and Submitting Your Application: Borderless Collective will host two virtual sessions to provide an overview of the grant cycle and answer prospective applicants' questions. For organizations to be considered for the grant cycle, all application material must be submitted through the Just Fund Application Portal by April 30th at 7:00 p. m.
