Boulder Library Foundation Grants is sponsored by Boulder Library Foundation. The Boulder Library Foundation provides funding for Boulder's libraries to support innovation, capital improvements, and expanded outreach and literacy programs. They raise money, increase awareness, advocate for the library, and encourage community involvement.

Supporting Boulder’s Public Libraries since 1974 The Boulder Library Foundation funds innovation, capital improvements, creativity, and expanded outreach and literacy for Boulder’s libraries. Libraries matter. Here’s why: The Boulder community is expanding, evolving, and diversifying.

Technology is changing how we interact, absorb information, and relate to each other. Few free places exist where people can meet, hang out, learn, and get help. This makes Boulder libraries a critical “third space” for connection, learning, and self-improvement.

Since 1974, we’ve donated more than $10M to Boulder’s libraries. Over the last few decades, our funding supported nearly 90% of library programs. BLDG61, Boulder’s first free, community makerspace was made possible with Foundation funding.

The Foundation filled a $1. 3M funding gap to help open the new NoBo library in 2024. We’re so grateful to the generous donors whose gifts over the last five decades made all of this possible.
