Home | Brennan Equine Welfare Fund Brennan Equine Welfare Fund Helping Those Who Help Horses Rescue • Rehab • Retire • Retrain • Rehome IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 2026 Brennan Equine Welfare Fund Our Mission is to award grants to verified equine rescue, retirement and re-homing organizations that save and care for abused, neglected, elderly, unwanted and slaughter-bound horses.
Our grants help save horses by providing 501(c)(3) equine organizations with medical care (veterinary, dental, and farrier), rehabilitation, and re-training for horses that can be re-homed. Our grants can also provide operational and emergency expenses (barn repairs, feed and hay, etc.) for these organizations.
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 2026 Mission: Our grants help horses in need BEWF's 2024 Grant Recipients Announcing Brennan Equine Welfare Fund's 2024 Grant Recipients See BEWF's Grant Recipients Since 2011 Your donations to Brennan Equine Welfare Fund are made though The Greater Cincinnati Foundation and help save the lives of abused and neglected horses! To donate, click the button, above.
(IMPORTANT: On The Greater Cincinnati Foundation donate page, scroll down to the Brennan donate form to make your donation.) 100% of your donation goes towards grants that help equines in need. There is a 3% fee that BEWF is charged to maintain an interest bearing account which, in reality, yields more for grants to help the horses, so essentially, 100% (or more!)
