Bridge to Stability | JF&CS Atlanta JF&CS offices are closed Monday in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen Tuesday morning at 9 AM. Career & Support Services Donate to Bridge to Stability Bridge to Stability (formerly Emergency Financial Assistance) helps individuals and families regain stability during times of financial hardship through short-term financial assistance and supportive services .
Services are provided with dignity, respect, and confidentiality. Bridge to Stability (BTS) is grant funded through government sources and the generosity of private foundations and individual donors. Because funding availability and eligibility requirements vary by funder and may change from year to year, assistance is limited and not guaranteed.
Request Financial Assistance What Bridge to Stability May Include Support is tailored to individual needs and include: Short-term or intermediate case management Food assistance through the JF&CS Kosher Food Pantry Transportation assistance for work or health needs Employment assistance, including job support and virtual workshops All services are coordinated to support long-term stability.
Types of Assistance Considered Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may include: Housing stability: rent or mortgage and utilities assistance Transportation: job- or health-related needs (e.g. car repair or insurance) Health-related assistance: prescriptions, medical needs, dental care, or equipment not covered by insurance Legal assistance: limited and considered case-by-case Temporary dependent care: childcare, recovery, or respite care Specialized Support for Adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Through support from a JAccess grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, BTS also offers specialized case management for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families.
This service helps bridge the gap for individuals waiting for long-term supports (such as Medicaid Waiver funding) by providing Resource navigation and benefits assistance Connections to employment, social engagement, and wellness opportunities Transportation and independent living supports When appropriate, clients may also access financial assistance through BTS.
Complete one online application per household If approved for further assessment, a JF&CS staff member will contact you Additional documentation may be requested Approved payments are made directly to vendors only We cannot meet all requests for assistance. We encourage individuals to also explore other resources and community organizations.
