2026 OPEN CALL FOR BK FASHION DESIGNERS – Office of the Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso and Arts Ambassador Colm Dillane of renowned cultural brand KidSuper are searching for five emerging Brooklyn fashion designers to showcase their designs during an fashion show at Brooklyn Borough Hall.
Selected designers will each be awarded a $5,000 grant and mentorship opportunities with industry leaders. Supplies and tools for garment design and construction will not be provided. BP Antonio Reynoso and Arts Ambassador Colm Dillane are searching for five Brooklyn-based emerging designers.
If selected, each designer will be invited to show five full looks at a special full-service fashion show during the fall of 2026. Each designer will be provided with a $5,000 grant to assist with expenses. Please note: The Office of the Brooklyn Borough President will not provide materials, tools, or professional assistance with garment construction.
The designer collection must be ready by August 31. More details on the Full-Service Fashion Show below. Applicants must be residents of Brooklyn.
Applicants must be 18 years or older. Applicants must be available from the week of July 27 to the fashion show, early September. Submissions must be original work.
The use of artificial intelligence is not allowed.
