Build Strong Social Impact Grants

Build Strong (Grants component) is sponsored by TC Energy. The Build Strong program invests in organizations vital to communities. Grants are tax-deductible donations made to non-profits, registered charities, associations, municipalities, Indigenous groups, and foundations. Focus areas include equipping first responders, improving access to education, protecting the environment, and mitigating barriers to well-being in communities. Organizations should clearly articulate anticipated community impact.

National Research Center for Promoting Work and Strong Families is sponsored by Administration for Children and Families (ACF). This Center aims to improve the effectiveness of federal and state policies that promote the dignity of work, economic self-sufficiency, and family stability. It will support rigorous, policy-relevant research and build stronger connections between researchers and policymakers in human services programs. Activities include extramural research grants to fund timely, actionable research aligned with ACF priorities, including workforce development.

Coastal Community Grant Program is sponsored by Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (Municipal Planning Assistance Program). This competitive grant program provides funds to counties, municipalities, unorganized territories, tribal governments, and Regional Planning Organizations in Maine's coastal zone for projects that build community resilience to adapt to a changing climate. Projects can include green infrastructure; preparing communities for coastal storms and storm surge, shoreline erosion, sea level rise, and flooding; and planning for reducing water quality impacts from land use activities. The program aims to improve water quality, increase adaptation to erosion and flooding, restore coastal habitat, promote sustainable development, and enhance the coastal-dependent economy while preserving coastal natural resources within Maine's coastal zone.
