Building Construction & Skilled Trades Grant Building Construction & Skilled Trades Grant Building Construction & Skilled Trades Grant Lone Star College and Texas Workforce Commission is providing free training for in demand careers in construction trades in field service in manufacturing! The Building Construction Trades Grant is training available for youth and adults ages 16-24 for high pay and high growth careers!
Youth/Adults ages 16-24 who meet the eligibility requirements will receive training at no cost in as little as 4 weeks! Grant funding will also cover books and other costs such as workbooks, uniforms, or licensing fees.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for funding: United States (U.S.) citizens or certified to work in the U.S. Meet U.S. Selective Service registration requirements (if male) Applicants should not be enrolled in school or training at the time of acceptance of funding.
Available Fast Track Programs: Basic Construction Helper Mechanical Technician/Mechatronics Fast Track Certificate Available Credit Certificates: Electrical Technology Occupational Skills Certificate HVAC Residential Certificate HVAC Commercial Certificate For general information: Time is limited!
