Building Fund is sponsored by Black Leaders Detroit (BLD). Offers zero-interest loans to developers renovating single-family homes or small complexes up to four units in Detroit.

Black Leaders Detroit | Funding For Entrepreneurs No-interest capital, grants, and community support helping Detroit entrepreneurs grow, build, and thrive. Traditional systems have historically excluded Black entrepreneurs from equitable access to capital. BLD exists to help close that gap through community-powered investment and support.

We create equitable access to capital and economic opportunity for Detroiters of African descent. BLD empowers entrepreneurs, developers, and community leaders through no-interest funding, grants, and strategic support. We envision a Detroit where Black entrepreneurs and communities can build wealth without systemic financial barriers.

This step-by-step process applies to our No-Interest Loan Programs. Most grants are unrestricted and have different criteria or limited-time application periods.
