Business Partnership Facility | King Baudouin Foundation The Business Partnership Facility (BPF) is initiated and financed by the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGD) to stimulate private sector involvement in achieving the SDGs in developing countries. The operational management of the BPF is entrusted to the King Baudouin Foundation.
The BPF supported viable, entrepreneurial business initiatives with a strong social/environmental impact in 23 countries. The final call for projects is closed. Since the first call for projects in 2019, 64 projects received a grant ( matching fund ) for a total of 10.
658. 850 euros. As foreseen at the start, an external final evaluation of the BPF took place.
The fieldwork for this evaluation was conducted by local consultants, coordinated by Techforce, Akvo and Diligent Consulting. Until 2026, the King Baudouin Foundation will accompany the projects financed to achieve greater economic solidity and social impact. The Directorate General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD) looks after the different aspects of Belgian Development Cooperation.
