Boost productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Reduce turnover and enhance employee performance or wages. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be a Wyoming based business with a physical address in Wyoming. Political organizations and government entities, except Wyoming county and memorial hospitals and emergency medical providers, are not eligible.

Training will either correct an employee’s skill deficiency or upgrade an employee’s current skill level. Training must directly relate to the employee’s job or craft. Funds cannot replace existing training budgets or other funding sources.

Training must support the business’s competitiveness in its industry or economy. General leadership training might not qualify. Leadership training being requested must be directly related to the industry.

The result of the training will: Increase productivity, efficiency or profitability of the business. Reduce employee turnover. Enhance employee wages or job performance.

$3,000 per trainee per fiscal year for non-preferred industries. $4,000 per trainee per fiscal year for preferred industries. $75,000 per business per fiscal year.

Step 1: Register your Business All businesses must complete a one time registration application in order to gain access into the Grant Management System.. Registration approval can take up to 1-2 weeks to process. If any good standing verifications come back needing clarification, an email will be sent to the contact information provided on the registration.

All clarifications or good standings requested must be updated or corrected within 60 calendar days in order for the registration application to remain active. If requested items are not completed within that timeline, the registration will be rejected and a new registration application will need to be submitted.

Please ensure your business meets the following requirements to avoid delays in the registration process Good Standing: Your business must be registered and in good standing with: Wyoming Unemployment Insurance (UI) Workers’ Compensation (WC) Wyoming Secretary of State (SoS) Workforce Development Training Fund (WDTF) HireWyo : Your business must also be registered and in good standing with HireWYO .

This process may take an additional 1-2 weeks, especially if your WC or UI accounts need to be updated. Please note: Businesses that were established less than one year ago will be required to submit a letter of support from a local economic development entity in order to register in the Grant Management System * IMPORTANT: Good standings with SOS, UI, WC, and HireWyo are verified at each application submission .

It is the responsibility of the business to ensure good standing prior to submitting applications for funding. Step 2: Build & Submit Your Application Applications can be created and submitted at any time. Cover one training event.

Please keep in mind, multiple trainees can be added to that same application if they are all attending the same training. Per the grant rules, applications for funding must be submitted 30 to 110 calendar days prior to the start date of training or first date of travel. Travel days requested can only be the day before the start date of training and the day after the end date of training (calendar days).

These dates must be included in the training start date and end date in the application. Submit as many applications as needed, within funding limits. Applications are prioritized for preferred industries (construction, manufacturing, healthcare and social assistance, finance and insurance, technology, and hospitality and tourism) and training leading to certifications or licenses.

Applications may take up to two weeks to review and approve or deny. Revision requests may be sent from the WDTF team for the application submitted. Application revisions must be completed within two (2) business days.

If revisions are not received, the application status will automatically be adjusted to rescinded and closed for submission. Please ensure the primary contact of the business has an updated email address for communications. An application may be sent back for revisions up to 2 times.

If more revisions are needed after that, the application will be denied and a new application will need to be submitted with all updated information. Approval is not guaranteed. Step 4: Application Approvals Approved applications will require a Letter of Agreement to be signed by the business and executed by the Director of DWS before training begins.

This agreement will be assigned through the grant portal under the “Tasks” section of the approved grant. The signed agreement must be returned to DWS within five (5) business days in order to be accepted. If not received, the agreement will be considered void and the grant will be cancelled.

The Letter of agreement will outline: Approved training timelines Responsibilities of the grantee Step 5: Application Denials Application denial emails will be sent to either the primary or signatory contact, whichever submitted the application. Applications for events starting within the following month are prioritized. Grants will not reimburse costs without a fully executed contract.
