CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program and Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) | California Department of Housing and Community Development CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program and Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program Resources The state of California supported two programs during the COVID-19 pandemic intended to help stabilize households at risk of eviction and homelessness due to job loss and other impacts from the global pandemic.
The California COVID-19 Rent Relief program was a state-wide program operated by HCD that assisted over 371,000 households with more than $4. 7 billion in rent and utility assistance during the COVID-19 emergency. Please see the dashboard link below for more data about the program.
ERAP provided funding to local governments to operate local rent relief programs during the COVID-19 pandemic to support housing stability. Please see the links below for more information about ERAP.
