Cadogan Community Grant is sponsored by The Kensington + Chelsea Foundation. Grants for organisations based and/or delivering in the Chelsea area. The program focuses on initiatives that increase people's sense of community and belonging, environmental improvements, health and wellbeing activities, arts and culture, and ongoing help for local groups.

First Cadogan Community Grant Recipients Announced The Chelsea Theatre and Midaye, a local charity supporting migrant communities, have been awarded £15,000 from the recently launched Cadogan Community Grant Programme, a collaboration with the Kensington + Chelsea Foundation.

Last year, Cadogan, in partnership with the Kensington + Chelsea Foundation, launched the Community Grant Programme to support local not-for-profit initiatives that aim to enhance the environment, foster community spirit, promote health and wellbeing, and support the arts and culture in Chelsea. The Chelsea Theatre and Midaye are among the first to benefit.

The Chelsea Theatre will use the funding to enhance its Youth Theatre Holiday Programme, offering young people aged 7-15 the opportunity to develop theatre skills and gain invaluable experience in the arts. Meanwhile, Midaye will allocate its grant to support its Women’s Space programme, which provides a peer-led support network for 35 migrant women, offering a safe and welcoming environment for connection and empowerment.

Each of these organisations is committed to making a lasting, positive impact in Chelsea, with the funding from the Community Grant Programme helping them to reach more people and amplify their work. The Community Grant Programme, launched by Cadogan in partnership with the Kensington + Chelsea Foundation, provides grants of £5,000 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations in the borough.

” This programme aligns with Cadogan’s broader strategy, Chelsea 2030 , which aims to foster an environmentally and socially responsible community by 2030. Along with commitments to achieving net-zero emissions and improving air quality, the strategy includes significant investments in community development and wellbeing.

” The grant recipients were selected by an expert panel, including representatives from Cadogan, the Kensington + Chelsea Foundation, and local authorities. The panel reviewed a range of applications from local organisations demonstrating a clear understanding of the challenges facing residents and presenting innovative, impactful solutions.
