Open year-round, this program helps athletes overcome financial barriers so they can pursue their athletic goals and stay active in their communities. **Sport Expense and Participation Grants** Covers training, competition, and sports-related expenses so you can focus on reaching your athletic goals. **Adaptive Sports Equipment Grants** Get the essential adaptive gear you need to compete, train, and thrive in your chosen sport.

Applicants may request one of three categories: Equipment Grant, Funding Toward Equipment, or Sport Expense Grant. When are applications reviewed? Applications are reviewed on the last week of each month, and awards are announced the first week of the following month.
What expenses are not covered? Non-sport equipment, medical or rehab services, uniforms, nutrition supplements, tech devices (e.g., FitBits, Apple Watches), and personal travel for family or coaches. When do I need to submit receipts?
Receipts must be uploaded into the grant portal by one year from the awarded date. The SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest is a competitive program from Social Capital Inc. that funds youth-led community improvement projects in Greater Boston. Improving Veteran Mental Health Grant Program is a grant from The Cigna Group Foundation that funds nonprofits providing housing stability and wraparound support services to improve the mental health of military veterans. The Foundation committed $9 million over three years addressing housing instability and its mental health impacts, as an estimated 40,000 veterans go without shelter nightly and 1.5 million are at risk of homelessness. Funded programs include mortgage and rental assistance, employment re-entry training, and housing development for veterans.
