Executive Order 14181: One Year of Measurable Progress in California Water Operations One year ago, President Donald J. Trump signed Executive Order 14181 to improve California’s water system within existing authorities.
Since then, the Bureau of Reclamation has: Strengthened coordination and streamlined decision-making - Improved operational flexibility and advanced long-term planning - Delivered more than 180,000 acre-feet of additional water to the Central Valley Project - Captured 39,000 acre-feet during storm first-flush events These efforts support farms, communities and local economies while enhancing system reliability.
