Global Forum Call for Ideas to fight Illicit Financial Flows – Global Forum IFF The Global Forum Call for Ideas constitutes the “Action” Pillar of the Global Forum. It transforms the outcomes of the Biennial Symposium into tangible results. This initiative grants financial support for the implementation of scalable, innovative and groundbreaking proposals that combat illicit financial flows within specific thematic priority areas.
Application and selection process The Call for Ideas is open to all parties with a background in anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism.
Ideally, applicants should come from one of the following sectors: think tanks/research institutes/academia, international organizations, civil society organizations, government authorities/policymakers, law enforcement agencies, financial intelligence units (FIUs), private sector enterprises and initiatives, and financial institutions and regulators.
The application and selection process for the Global Forum Call for Ideas is conducted in three steps: The Global Forum shortlists the most promising project proposals submitted during the review phase. The Global Forum Advisory Group subsequently selects up to five winning proposals from this shortlist, with grants ranging from EUR 50,000 to 125,000. The winning projects have 12 months to complete their implementation.
The areas of implementation are carefully selected based on the identified priorities from the Global Forum Symposium. To maximize impact, project proposals should aim to create significant influence in one or more of them.
