Local nonprofits making a difference In 2026, the Palo Alto Community Fund (PACF) awarded $1. 5 million in grants to 71 local organizations . Made possible by the generosity of PACF donors, these investments respond to immediate challenges while strengthening the long-term resilience of the community.
These grants include $150,000 awarded as Dave Mitchell Impact Grants to two organizations building pathways for lasting change and $1. 35 million in annual and multi-year grants to organization empowering the community. This grant cycle, PACF is honored to welcome eight first-time grantees to the PACF grantee community.
Annual and Multi-Year Grants provide general operating support grounded in the principles of trust-based philanthropy. Dave Mitchell Impact Grants , first awarded in 2020, are considered separately from PACF’s annual grants and are specifically designed to help local nonprofit programs significantly move the needle towards addressing long term systemic issues.
The Cammie Vail Community Resilience Grants prioritize flexible, unrestricted funding to support nonprofits and their leaders as they respond to urgent challenges and strengthen organizational resilience. Awarded on a rolling basis, these grants help essential organizations navigate change, address emerging needs, and continue delivering critical services in our community.
