Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students - Canada. ca Canada Student Grant for Full-Time Students This grant is available to full-time students in financial need. You are automatically assessed when you apply for student aid with your province or territory.
If you are in school part-time, see grant for part-time students . Note: Most students going to private, for-profit schools in Canada are no longer eligible for this grant. Students attending some programs may be exempt from this restriction .
If you were not approved for funding and think you or your school may qualify, contact your provincial or territorial student aid office . Note: This grant is not available to students from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec . They have their own student aid programs.
You could be eligible for this grant if you apply and: are a full-time student in a qualified program at a designated school that is not restricted from receiving this grant your total family income is less than the income threshold below Income thresholds for Canada Student Grant eligibility for full-time students: Previous year’s gross annual family income (Effective August 1, 2026) Family size (number of people) (if gross family income is below the amount for family size, the student qualifies for the maximum grant) (if gross family income is at or above these amounts for family size, the student does not qualify for the grant) How much you could receive Until the end of the 2026 to 2027 school year, you could receive up to $4,200 per year or up to $525 per month of study.
You can get this grant for each year of your undergraduate studies as long as you are still in school full-time. The school year runs from August 1 to July 31. Apply for student aid through your province or territory.
