Franklin Chamber Foundation Receives $25,000 Grant to Support Small Business Growth Franklin Chamber Foundation Receives $25,000 Grant to Support Small Business Growth Franklin Chamber of Commerce | June 9, 2025 The Franklin Chamber Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Greater Franklin Chamber of Commerce, has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Franklin Economic Development Commission.
This funding will support the continuation of the Foundation’s Capacity Building Grant Program, which is dedicated to strengthening small businesses in the 46131 zip code through targeted projects. Eligible projects include facility expansions, technology upgrades, essential equipment purchases or the launch of new products or services - all designed to help small businesses build a stronger foundation for long-term success.
“We are deeply grateful to the Franklin Economic Development Commission for their continued partnership and investment in our small business community,” said Rosie Chambers, President and CEO of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce. “This grant is more than a financial investment; it’s a powerful vote of confidence in the vital role small businesses play in Franklin’s thriving economy.
” To date, the Capacity Building Grant Program has awarded $60,000 to 25 small businesses. With this new grant, the Foundation will expand the program’s reach, providing funding to at least five additional projects. As these businesses grow, they strengthen their ability to serve customers, create jobs and contribute to the community’s economic vitality.
“Small businesses are the heartbeat of Franklin,” added Chambers. “They’re the ones who know our names, support our schools and bring our downtown to life. Helping them grow benefits our entire community.
We’re honored to be part of their journey. ” The grant application is open to small for-profit businesses located in the 46131 zip code with 10 or fewer full-time employees. Applications will be evaluated based on business longevity, sustainability, community involvement, innovation and overall completeness of the application.
