Capital Improvements | The Columbus Foundation Whether your nonprofit is buying a new building, purchasing new equipment, or updating a facility, the Foundation is interested in learning more. Capital Improvement Projects and Campaigns can be a critical component of building capacity for a nonprofit organization.
Whether purchasing new or larger buildings, investing in equipment, or updating a space, enhanced facilities and equipment allow nonprofits to better meet their missions. Capital grants tend to range from $10,000 to $100,000. Primary impact in Franklin County.
Demonstrated progress toward the fundraising goal and a plan for securing the remaining funds. A plan for funding ongoing operating expenses. Arts and Culture grantees currently receiving unrestricted operating support from the Foundation are not eligible for Capital Improvements funding.

Capital One Grant: Improving Community Vital Conditions is sponsored by Capital One in collaboration with Healthy Communities Delaware (HCD) at the DCF. This grant program is designed to expand economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income (LMI) consumers and communities. Grant proposals should aim to improve one or more of the Vital Conditions for Well-Being within LMI communities.
Towsley Foundation Grants is a grant from Harry A. & Margaret D. Towsley Foundation supporting charitable organizations working to improve the lives of people and communities, with a primary geographic focus on Michigan. Capital project requests may not exceed 10% of total project cost and are normally paid in equal annual installments over three to five years. Individuals and private foundations are not eligible. The Foundation does not fund programs on an ongoing annual basis and encourages financial sustainability and diverse funding sources. Organizations that previously received support must wait at least two years after final payment before reapplying. Only one application per organization per grant cycle is permitted.
