Military Affairs - Capital Region Chamber Unified Military Affairs Council The Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) is an initiative of the Capital Region Chamber. UMAC recognizes the importance our military installations and their significance to the overall well-being of the Capital Region.
UMAC supports the New York Air National Guard’s 109th Airlift Wing, Naval Support Facility Saratoga Springs, Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa, Watervliet Arsenal, as well as other military units located within the Capital Region. Our mission is to highlight the capacity of the military installations in the Capital Region and ensure their long-term viability.
UMAC works to increase public knowledge of the contributions made by military units in the Capital Region, all of which impact our global, national, state and regional security and economy. For more information, contact Tom O’Connor at 518. 431.
