Career Pathways Training Program Info Session - New York City Employment and Training Coalition Did you know that New Yorkers can earn a Master of Social Work or Licensed Mental Health Counselor degree at no cost? The 1115 NY Health Equity Reform Waiver has created a rare and unique opportunity for motivated individuals to earn their degree on full scholarship and enter the workforce as social workers and mental health counselors.
Scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis to eligible applicants through the Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program . Join the upcoming info session hosted by NYCETC and the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds to learn more about this new opportunity.

Graduate scholarships are open to all eligible New York State residents. While this opportunity is managed by the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds, you do not need to be a member of the 1199SEIU union to participate.
However, applicants must: —Already have a bachelor’s degree —Be willing to go to school full-time starting in fall of 2025 —Complete school by the spring semester of 2027 —Commit to working at a Medicaid-enrolled provider in NYS that serves at least a 30% Medicaid and/or uninsured population for 3 years after graduation.
