The Rideau Hall Foundation’s Catapult Canada initiative strengthens access to learning for young people across the country.

The program supports youth-serving organizations that help young people pursue education, develop new skills and explore early career pathways. Catapult’s vision is for every young person in Canada to achieve their learning goals and participate fully in their communities.

Through Catapult, the Rideau Hall Foundation channels resources to community programs and helps build the know-how, partnerships and infrastructure that support strong youth programming. The initiative reduces isolation for smaller organizations by connecting them to a wider network of partners and knowledge sharing.

Larger organizations are also able to extend their reach into new or smaller communities, gaining insight and strengthening regional support. Catapult is one of the ways the RHF strengthens Canada’s learning landscape and supports the organizations that help young people move forward. Through Catapult Canada, the Rideau Hall Foundation supports youth-serving organizations across four main areas of work.

Connecting partners: Catapult brings together a national partner network that helps organizations exchange ideas, access peer support and learn from one another. Building capacity: Grants and sector supports help organizations improve program design, leadership, infrastructure and evaluation practices.

Strengthening learning pathways: Catapult supports programs that expand access to education, training and early career development, with attention to community priorities and local needs. Providing tools and shared resources: Organizations have access to evaluation frameworks, planning tools, research and other materials that support effective program development and continuous improvement.

Catapult Canada provides grants to youth-serving organizations that are working to create stronger learning pathways in their communities. Grants support: Program design, delivery and reach New approaches or pilot projects Organizational systems and infrastructure Evaluation and continuous improvement Community partnerships and youth-focused programming Grants are offered through national open calls.

All funded organizations join the Catapult community of practice, taking part in workshops and peer learning sessions that help strengthen the overall sector.
