In the last four years, we’ve awarded **40 different organizations over $300,000**in special assistance, tailored to their unique circumstances. In May 2025, a tornado caused significant damage to Gordon High School's football field and athletic facility.

USA Football, the sport's National Governing Body, supplied $92,000 in equipment through its CATCH Grant program to help Gordon get back on its feet in time for their season, which helped pave the way to a historic 2025 State Championship for the 6-man program.

## CATCH GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS Youth organizations, middle schools, and high school girls flag football programs enrolled with USA Football for the current calendar year are eligible to apply for the CATCH Grant. CATCH Grant applications do require specific information, so that we can determine how we might be able to help.

Please be prepared to fully and specifically describe your trouble, including: * Details of damages, hardship or losses (such as # of pieces of equipment, etc.) * Company estimates of repairs or replacements (such as quote for equipment, etc.) Please be prepared to provide the following documents & information: * Organization ID and contact information * 501c3 status, EIN number, or W-9 * Insurance claim or police report * Estimates or inventory lists CATCH Grant applications _*_ are accepted on a continual basis throughout the year, for incidents that occurred within one year of application submission.

_*USA Football’s CATCH Grant requires completion of a grant application, separate from enrollment. Not all eligible organizations will be awarded all grants they apply for. Dates are approximate and subject to change.

What is a USA Football CATCH Grant? USA Football offers CATCH Grants for organizations who are in need of assistance, outside of normal operations, due to critical circumstances, natural disasters, or other acute hardships (examples: theft of equipment and resources or weather events that destroyed equipment and property).

CATCH Grants are not intended for general expenses due to operational deficits or inefficiencies (examples: lack of donations, equipment not returned); there must be a specific reason, outside of normal operations, that has caused your organization’s hardship.

USA Football will accept CATCH Grant applications for hardships that occurred within one year of application submission, we cannot accept CATCH Grant applications for hardships that occurred more than one year from application submission (examples: weather event in summer destroyed equipment, can submit application until next summer; fraud incident from two years ago, cannot submit application).

USA Football understands the pandemic created hardships for many organizations, however any additional funding to assist organizations during that time has long since been allocated; as such, applications citing pandemic hardships cannot be accommodated. Who is eligible for a USA Football CATCH Grant?

Youth organizations, middle schools, and girls flag football programs enrolled with USA Football for the current calendar year are eligible to apply for a CATCH Grant. Click here to enroll. High school tackle programs, adult organizations and for-profit organizations are not eligible for the CATCH Grant.

When is the application and review period? CATCH Grant applications are accepted by USA Football on a continual basis throughout the year. USA Football will review CATCH Grant applications on a continual basis, please note that complete review of your application may take as long as 45-60 days from date of application submission.

What information is needed to apply for a CATCH Grant?

Please be prepared to fully and specifically describe your trouble, including: * Details of damages, hardship or losses (such as # of pieces of equipment, etc.) * Company estimates of repairs or replacements (such as quote for equipment, etc.) Please be prepared to provide the following documents & information: * Organization ID and contact information * 501c3 status, EIN number, or W-9 * Insurance claim or police report * Estimates or inventory lists USA Football may contact you for further details regarding your application, to determine how we may best assist you.

How am I notified of grant award or denial? USA Football will determine grant awards or denials within 45-60 days of application submission. CATCH Grant applicants will be notified of award or denial via email, as listed in the application.

What type of grant award will I receive, if any? CATCH Grant award amounts are variable due to each organization’s unique circumstances. USA Football retains sole discretion on the type and dollar amount of any CATCH Grant awards.

For most awardees, you will receive a grant amount to be used directly with one of our grant partners for equipment and apparel; details will include full redemption instructions. In very rare instances, USA Football may award a direct cash payment to your organization, or choose to purchase a large item on your behalf.

Please note that USA Football is also a non-profit organization and does not have unlimited funding, as such you may or may not be awarded the full grant amount requested, or a grant amount that covers all losses; regardless, we trust that any grant amount will be beneficial to your organization. What happens after I receive the CATCH Grant?

USA Football will contact you for follow-up to learn about the grant’s impact and see your progress! We may request waivers from your organization so that we can share photos and/or videos of your success! Who do I contact if I have questions about the CATCH Grant?
