$237,431 Disbursed in 2025 Grant Awards The Catholic Foundation is honored to call itself “The Giving Arm of the Diocese. ” We thank God for the opportunity to help, in our small way, those Catholic organizations within our borders as we follow the Little Way of St. Thérèse .

And we are grateful for our donors. It is through the support of many that these gifts are possible; working together we are able to provide monetary support to the dedicated: Vacation Bible School volunteers and all the laity and religious who tirelessly donate their time and talent to sharing their faith and putting the grant awards to good use in their ministries. Thank you!

Last year the Catholic Foundation distributed $192,430 in grant awards to 52 Catholic organizations in our diocese! These funds will afford many of our youth the opportunity to learn and share their faith with their peers at weekly high school Newman Clubs meetings, Confirmation retreats, as well as other statewide and national retreats.

Funding also helps parishes to provide VBS to children of all faiths in their community and workbooks to adults attending bible study groups. College-aged adults will also benefit with funding to welcome new students and provide fellowship and service projects. In addition to parish and missions grants, $45,000 in humanitarian grant awards was distributed to organizations who serve the needy throughout southern and western Colorado.

Pueblo Newman Club serves 4 high schools weekly Pueblo Central High School Newman Club Linda Davis and Lynn Cervi- DREs, Newman Club leaders & Everyday Hero recipients Congratulations to Lynn Cervi and Linda Davis (pictured above) for being awarded the Pueblo Everyday Hero award.

Lynn and Linda were selected because of their “leadership and service to youth in church and outside of church, and for continuously providing mentorship to children of all ages, inspiring them to be a part of the community” .

Always humble, Lynn and Linda said the award would not have been possible without grant awards from the Catholic Foundation which support their many ministries: vacation bible school, weekly High School Newman Club at all four Pueblo high schools, and youth retreats and worship events for Pueblo parishes. But we know it is not us: Like Lynn and Linda, it is you, our donors, who are the everyday heros.

Your contributions are what help those self-giving people fulfill their ministries to our children and promote the faith. The Poor Clare Endowment Fund- Continuing Support for the Sisters After years of fundraising, planning, and prayer, the construction of a new monastery for the Capuchin Poor Clare Nuns in the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo is finished. And although construction is complete, the fundraising continues.

In 2025, the Catholic Foundation established the Poor Clare Endowment Fund to support the future need of the Poor Clare Nuns in our diocese, and pledged a $25,000 Matching Gift to the endowment fund. W e are grateful for the opportunity to keep these prayerful women in our midst, and to offer them a home worthy of their charism as they continue to grow and expand their ministry in our diocese.

Sharing Our Faith-Shaping Our Future This capital campaign is a joint effort by the Catholic Foundation and the diocese to secure major gifts from certain individuals who have expressed their support for three critical campaign initiatives, namely, (1) Funding construction costs for a new monastery for the Capuchin Poor Clare sisters in our diocese as they live out their vocation of cloistered prayer, (2) Growing the seminary fund as a means of ensuring that the cost of education will never be an obstacle to those young men seeking their way to the priesthood, and (3) Increasing the capacity of the Catholic Foundation to fund grant requests from numerous organizations across the diocese.
