CDBG Innovative Grant Program | Georgia Department of Community Affairs The purpose of the Innovative Grant Program set-aside is to encourage projects that will result in transformational changes.
While transformational means different things to different people, for the purposes of this grant set-aside, DCA is defining transformational as an individual or series of activities that will support long-term, systemic and sustainable change. We feel this definition is broad enough to allow our local governments flexibility in defining what could be transformational.
DCA recognizes that transformational change cannot occur overnight or without sustainable financial resources. In order to provide communities that can demonstrate their vision, strategy and commitment to transformational change, DCA will provide financial resources to help kick start change.
