Scholarships - Oregon Nurses Foundation To help address the looming nursing shortage in Oregon, and to ensure that diverse individuals from all walks of life can afford to enter the profession of nursing (or pursue advanced degrees in nursing practice), ONF offers a range of scholarships to help offset the costs of nursing study.
Centennial Education Scholarship The Centennial Education Scholarship was created to support Oregon nursing students in prelicensure nursing programs (BSN, ADN), and for RN students enrolled in a program leading to a BSN in an accredited Oregon School of nursing. The scholarship award is for costs of completing a prelicensure or BSN program.
It includes tuition, fees and other expenses directly related to participating in the prelicensure nursing program. Equity Scholarship Program The Equity Scholarship was created to increase the racial and ethnic mixture of the nursing workforce in Oregon to more closely reflect the patient population.
The program seeks to provide financial support for applicants from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups enrolled in a nursing program. An applicant who self-identifies as a member of an underrepresented group is encouraged to apply. Randall L.
Williams Memorial Scholarship for Nursing Education This scholarship was developed to honor Randall L. Williams and provides tuition assistance to future nurses. Two scholarship awards will be given annually.
This scholarship will be awarded for primary nursing (RN – Associate or BSN) education only (not advanced nursing degree). The NPO Scholarship provides financial assistance to a selected student in a Nurse Practitioner (NP) program who meets the specified criteria, for educational purposes.
Huggins and Haggland Grant for Continuing Education The Huggins and Haggland Grant for Continuing Education (HHCE) allows ONA members the opportunity to advance their career in the field of nursing by networking and gaining valuable knowledge through attendance and participation in continuing education conferences, workshops, advanced trainings and online programs.
