The goals of the FFDH will be met by providing scholarships to students who are in entry-level dental hygiene programs, to licensed dental hygienists who are pursuing an advanced degree in dental hygiene or a related field, by funding educational programs on health and dental hygiene issues, and by supporting the profession of dental hygiene through collaboration with the Florida Dental Hygienists' Association.

There are award recipients selected from both the Dental Hygiene Section and the Dental Assisting/Dental Laboratory Technology Section of FADE during each award year based upon the eligibility status of the applicants and a fully submitted, qualifying application. Liberty Dental Plan Scholarship LIBERTY Dental Plan is committed to improving the oral health disparities in the underserved population in Florida.
LIBERTY Dental Plan Scholarship is for recent graduates who find work in a community health setting: One-time $1,500 funding per recipient (2 scholarships per year) Recipients must be Florida residents. Recipients must practice full-time (minimum of 32 hours) in Florida after program completion for at least 2 years.
Recipients must seek employment in a public health setting that serves low-income patients to help to expand oral health care access for the underserved. (at least 30% Medicaid) Once you have completed your 2 years of continuous employment email administrator@fdha. org and an application will be sent to you.
