Centre for Analytics | Ontario Brain Institute Unlocking the Future of Brain Health: Neuroanalytics Innovation and Translation Leading neuroanalytic data innovation OBI’s Centre for Analytics accelerates the development of skills in neuroanalytics and support innovation and translation of innovative analytical and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) methods that make use of the multi-modal data across brain disorders.
With this multi-faceted approach, the CfA aims to increase our capacity to create disruptive technologies that better detect, predict, and treat neurological conditions such as brain injuries, mental health, neurodevelopment disorders, dementia, and more.
By connecting complex data types with advanced algorithmic methods, the Centre for Analytics (CfA) will empower neuroscientists and neurotechnology experts to chart new pathways for diagnosing and caring for those impacted by brain disorders.
This means developing innovative tools for predicting risk, even before people know they are at risk, detecting problems previously hard to detect, and generate feedback that informs the treatment needed, when it is needed.
In support of Ontario’s emerging need for neuroanalytics leadership, the CfA is positioned to: the next generation of neuro data scientists by funding placements, creating training materials, and facilitating collaboration access to high quality data and cloud computing at scale while creating a community focused on innovative yet ethical analytics and AI practices neuroanalytical methods by facilitating their validation and commercialization in a privacy and regulatory compliant way Inaugural analytics initiatives are already leveraging CfA resources and expertise, including data on Brain-CODE, OBI’s state-of-the-art neuroinformatics platform, and new cloud computing platform that provides advanced computing capabilities and analytical tooling.

ARPA-H's HEARING program (ARPA-H-SOL-26-154) — Hearing Enhancement through ARtificially Intelligent NeurotechnoloGy — held its Proposers' Day on June 8, 2026 and set Solution Summary deadlines for June 29 with Full Proposals due August 14. Single prime awardee, multiple Other Transaction Agreements, three integrated technical areas spanning intracortical recording and stimulation devices, wearable dynamic sound modulators, and AI-based auditory read/write algorithms. The first phase runs 18 months; the full effort runs 4.5 years through first-in-human clinical studies. For neurotech teams that have spent a decade in cochlear-implant or visual-prosthesis space, this is the moment the federal government bet on auditory cortex over the cochlea.
