Challenge Grant/Matching Grant Program is sponsored by Connie Hillman Family Foundation. The Connie Hillman Family Foundation's primary grantmaking model, this program provides matching funds to 501(c)(3) organizations that can demonstrate the ability to raise new funds or secure increased gifts from existing donors.

Connie J. Hillman Family Foundation Challenge Grant Campaign – Pima Foundation Connie J. Hillman Family Foundation Challenge Grant Campaign Pima Community College Foundation is launching a challenge grant campaign in partnership with The Connie J.

Hillman Family Foundation (Hillman Foundation) designed to have a transformative and indelible impression on the regional economy and the future workforce in Southern Arizona.

Recognizing Pima Community College as the single-most important workforce development provider in the region, the Hillman Foundation has committed to granting Pima Foundation $1 (up to $5,000,000) for every $2 (up to $10,000,000) raised by Pima Foundation over the next three years. This challenge grant is designed to attract new funders and increase the investment of existing contributors.

For example, if a donor contributed $500 to Pima Foundation last year and contributes $1,000 this year, the $500 increase could qualify as a match for the Hillman Challenge.

This challenge grant campaign is the largest private gift to Pima Community College Foundation and will be directed toward the College’s progressive programming and existing workforce development—an expansion that directly supports local industry needs critical to sustaining the economy in Southern Arizona.

This challenge grant from the Hillman Foundation has the potential for transformational impact by empowering PCC to continue to provide high-quality educational opportunities designed to meet the ever-changing needs and technology advances of today’s workforce.

Their pledge of $5 million in matching funds to Pima Foundation is their largest commitment in the Tucson region.
