Personal Donor-Advised Funds in Texas | Frost To celebrate everyone's hard work, we will be closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. A simple, tax-advantaged way to support your favorite charities. Donor-advised funds are a charitable giving vehicle.
This unique fund is designed to simplify your donations, provide tax advantages and help you — and, more importantly, your favorite charities — get the most from giving. At Frost, we partner with the Southwest Community Foundation to facilitate our donor-advised funds. Think of it as your personal account dedicated to your charitable giving.
Instead of sending multiple donations to various charities, all contributions are made into one fund. Your contributions are tax-deductible and invested with the potential for tax-free growth. Make one tax-deductible donation.
Donations can be made in the format of cash, stocks, real estate or non-publicly traded assets. Choose from one of our investment models. That way, contributions can grow into a more substantial gift for the future.
All growth is tax free. Tell us which IRS-qualified charity you would like to support and we take care of the rest. (Minimum grant $100) For additional information on when taxes would apply, While contributions and investment growth are tax advantaged, taxes may apply under certain circumstances.
For example, if the donor inadvertently makes grants to organizations that are not qualified public charities, penalties or the disallowance of tax benefits could occur. Additionally, donors cannot receive goods, services or other personal benefits in exchange for grants from the fund, as doing so may result in tax liabilities or penalties.

Every check includes a cover letter that references your fund name or is marked “anonymous” at your request. Quarterly statements provide you with regular updates on fund balance, deposits and grant distributions.
