This commitment comes to life through two closely connected efforts: the Bank’s direct community giving and sponsorships, and the work of the Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation.
Together, they allow us to support organizations and initiatives that make a meaningful, lasting impact across our footprint. Newburyport Bank supports community organizations through sponsorships, contributions, and extensive employee-driven volunteerism. Our team donates thousands of hours, along with financial support, to organizations that strengthen our communities and enhance opportunity for all.

The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation , founded in 2003 and supported solely by the Bank, carries out this mission through strategic grantmaking. The Foundation focuses on serving low-to-moderate income individuals, families, and vulnerable populations by funding organizations that deliver critical services and resources.
The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors who meet quarterly to review all grant requests. Organizations applying for a Foundation Grant must be a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Priority will be given to those organizations which align best with the Foundation’s goal of strengthening our communities by addressing areas such as: Creating real impact across the region Together as River Run, alongside our affiliated banks, Pentucket Bank and Rollstone Bank & Trust, we are proud of our community impact in 2025: Over $1.
