## Arvest Foundation: Enriching Our Communities ## Enriching Our Communities The primary purpose of the Arvest Foundation is to support local organizations doing outstanding work to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. Through our grant program, the Arvest Foundation helps worthwhile charitable activities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.
A variety of nonprofit organizations in our communities qualify for support through the Arvest Foundation. Governmental units, educational and charitable 501(c)(3) organizations, with "public charity" statusas defined by the IRS, that serve public purposes to improve the same community as their recommending bank are eligible to receive contributions. The Arvest Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests for funding.
All donations are based on recommendations from local Arvest Bank leadership. Funding for the Arvest Foundation is made possible by shareholders. Board members of Arvest Bank serve as board members and officers of the Arvest Foundation.

The primary purpose of the Arvest Foundation is to support local organizations doing outstanding work to improve the quality of life in the communities served by Arvest Bank. Are individuals eligible to receive grants? What kinds of programs or organizations are eligible to receive grants?
A governmental unit or 501(c)(3) organization that is a public charity (as described above) doing work to improve the quality of life in the communities Arvest serves is eligible. What are the requirements for an organization to receive a grant?
It must be a governmental unit or an educational or charitable organization which has 501(c)(3) status and "public charity" status according to the Internal Revenue Code and serves public purposes to improve the same community as their recommending bank. Can organizations receive multi-year grants or only annual, or one-time, grants? The Arvest Foundation makes one-time grants rather than multi-year grants.
Are there specific organizations or types of organizations that are not eligible to receive grants? Any organization not qualified as a governmental unit or as an educational or charitable organization having 501(c)(3) and public charity status is not eligible. How can my organization apply for a grant?
