Charitable Giving Program is sponsored by ITC Midwest. ITC supports qualified nonprofit organizations whose programs and projects emphasize the company's focus on education, environmental stewardship, social services, and health and wellness.

To support non-profit organizations that provide essential services to those in need, we have an ongoing charitable giving program that has provided millions of dollars of support over the past 15 years.

These contributions can range in the hundreds of dollars – which can make a significant difference in small communities – to grants of hundreds of thousands of dollars in the greater Cedar Rapids area, home to our largest load center and our ITC Midwest headquarters.

Among recent major contributions, ITC Midwest has pledged $400,000 to ConnectCR, a multi-year process to revitalize Cedar Lake and build a biking and pedestrian bridge over the Cedar River in downtown Cedar Rapids, adding significant quality of life recreational amenities that will benefit the entire region. After the devastating August 2020 derecho, we awarded $200,000 to the ReLeaf Program in 2021.

This generous contribution supports tree replanting in Cedar Rapids, the home of ITC Midwest headquarters. ReLeaf Cedar Rapids is a comprehensive initiative led by Trees Forever in partnership with the City of Cedar Rapids to replant and grow the tree canopy lost in the catastrophic storm Special funding has also been made available during times of extraordinary need.

Most recently, ITC Midwest provided nearly $300,000 of support to various organizations aiding those in need during 2020, specifically to bolster pandemic and derecho disaster relief. Recently, we added a new area of focus to our charitable giving program – Culture and Belonging. We awarded approximately $25,000 in 2022 to programs to create opportunities for underserved populations in local communities across our service territory.

We are constantly evaluating programs and striving to cultivate additional relationships to strengthen the communities where we live, work and play.
