Charter School Revolving Loan Fund Program (CSRLF) | State of California Office of the State Treasurer California School Finance Authority Charter School Revolving Loan Fund Program (CSRLF) Designed to provide low-interest loans of up to $500,000 to new charter schools, charter schools impacted by declared disasters, and existing charter schools.
The Charter School Revolving Loan Fund (CSRLF) Program provides low-cost loans of up to $500,000 to charter schools, with priority given to schools opening in the current fiscal year.
The Authority conducts extensive credit evaluations, makes funding recommendations, executes loan agreements, creates payment schedules, disburses funds, offsets loan payments, collects delinquent or defaulted loans, and develops program fund reconciliations and projections. This program, previously administered by the California Department of Education, was transferred to the Authority in 2013-14.
The CSRLF Program 2026-27 Funding Round opens on March 30, 2026 at 10:00AM, and closes May 15, 2026, at 5:00PM, with approximately $29 million available for lending.
