CHEMPACK Program | Department of Health To ensure the availability of CHEMPACK medical countermeasures to treat those affected by either nerve agent or organophosphate pesticide exposure, and support the ability of first responders and hospital personnel to request, deploy, and use these countermeasures.
Ensure that CHEMPACK assets are properly and securely stored in locations throughout the State, and are ready to be quickly deployed in response to an incident. Plan for the deployment of CHEMPACK assets to large-scale mass casualty incidents involving nerve agent or organophosphate pesticide release.
Provide technical support, guidance, and training to first responders and hospital personnel on the request, deployment, and use of CHEMPACK assets. Test the effectiveness of plans and deployment processes by conducting drills and exercises. nicholas.
