They provide financial support and creative mentorship to filmmakers at critical junctures, focusing on films that tackle human rights, social justice, and environmental issues.

Chicken & Egg Pictures - Project: Hatched is sponsored by Chicken & Egg Pictures. Project: Hatched is Chicken & Egg Pictures' completion fund, a ten-month program designed to support nonfiction directors as they prepare for the world premiere of a feature-length documentary film and develop a strategic impact and audience engagement campaign.

Research & Development Grant is a grant from Chicken & Egg Pictures that funds women and non-binary documentary filmmakers during the early research and development phase of their next feature-length film. The grant addresses a critical funding gap: directors often cannot secure investors without sample material, but producing material without external support is difficult. Two award levels are offered: $10,000 Research Grants and $20,000 Development Grants, with $450,000 total awarded per cycle. Supported by Netflix, the program is now in its fourth year. Eligible applicants must have directed at least one prior feature-length documentary. Applications for the 2026 cycle closed February 4, 2026; the next cycle opens tentatively December 2026.

Female Filmmakers in Tech & Art GAP Fund is sponsored by Female Film Club, UNLEYEK, and 19.Studio. This unique funding initiative empowers women filmmakers who are in production or post-production of a feature documentary focused on the intersection of technology and art. It supports female creators exploring innovative narratives in these rapidly evolving fields.
