The Missouri Community Health Foundation - Missouri Primary Care Association The Missouri Community Health Foundation The Missouri Community Health Foundation, a non-profit corporation established by the Missouri Primary Care Association in 2009, that provides funding for health care professionals, from urban and rural Missouri, to obtain their training in primary care medical, dental, or advanced practice nursing.
Senator Christopher S. “Kit” Bond A Champion for Improving Health Care for Missourians As a leading champion of improving access to comprehensive health care for all Missourians, former Senator Kit Bond played a key role in the development of Community Health Centers in our great state and across the nation.
Senator Bond either led the way or supported every major piece of legislation affecting Community Health Centers, resulting in access to affordable healthcare for thousands of Missourians. The Foundation established the Christopher S. “Kit” Bond Community Health Scholarship as a small token of appreciation for his efforts and will forever link Community Health Center successes with his legacy.
Recipients of the Christopher S. “Kit” Bond Community Health Scholarship are eligible to receive a one-time monetary award of $2,000. This award is in addition to any other funding they receive to pay for tuition and education-related expenses.
To date, the foundation has provided more than $3. 35 million in loan forgiveness and repayment in support of 48 “Kit Bond” scholars. For information on donating to the Christopher S.

The Missouri Community Health Foundation pays for tuition and education-related expenses.
In return, recipients give back to their communities by completing a service obligation. They go to work full-time at a Missouri Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), also known as Community Health Center. The Foundation focuses on health care professionals who demonstrate the characteristics for an interest in serving Missouri communities with the lowest levels of health care access.
Emphasis is placed on individuals who have been identified by their schools as having come from related backgrounds based on environmental and/or economic factors. The Foundation also seeks to identify, recruit, and retain students from these populations into health professions.
We are the only organization in Missouri that is devoted exclusively to building the next generation of health care providers for Community Health Centers throughout the state.
The Missouri Community Health Foundation Programs The MCHF Loan Forgiveness Program pays full or partial tuition for health care professional students from urban and rural Missouri to attend medical, dental, or advanced practice nursing school to pursue careers in the primary care field. The purpose of the MCHF Loan Repayment Program is to assist Primary Care Medical & Dental Residents with repaying their educational debt.
Senator Christopher S. “Kit” Bond During his tenure in the U.S. Senate, Senator Bond was a strong champion for the Community Health Centers. Funded under Section 330 of the U.S. Public Health Service Act, dedicated funding is provided for the creation of Community Health Centers (CHCs) in areas where large numbers of people do not have access to primary care, oral health, and mental health services.
His legacy as a tireless advocate for health care access will endure for generations to come. Senator Bond’s devotion to his constituents and his unyielding belief in the power of community healthcare will forever be remembered.
